Please use the following guidelines when New Hires do not actually start with CMC.

  • When an Hourly employee does not show on their first day, terminate them using the New Hire No Show action reason. EC will force you to use the next day as the term date since the hire date and term date cannot be on the same day.
  • When this happens with a Salaried employee, always have HR email EmployeeServices@cmc.com and assign ticket to Emp Services Manager as we may need to purge their record completely or remove the Direct Deposit information + Salary information so they do not get Salary.  But for Hourly we should be good (since they will not generate any hours = no payroll).
